Product Features
-
SCREEN NAVIGATION
Speed, accuracy, and simplicity are essential components of any practice management software. For this reason, PCIS has developed four unique navigation features: Dockable Custom Toolbar, Active Data Area, Recently Accessed Data, and Hot Keys. These time-saving functions ultimately reduce workflow by requiring only a single click or keystroke to perform frequently used tasks. -
PATIENT VISIT RECORD
Our software has been specially designed to enhance the patient visit process so it is as efficient possible. It begins when the patient arrives to register and concludes when the patient "checks out." -
APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING
Uploading patient information to the PCIS GOLD software is a cinch with our appointment scheduling application. This application is very responsive, making it easy to schedule and register all patients, including “walk-ins.” Plus, its rule-based scheduling supports single-provider and multiple-location group practices. -
PATIENT REGISTRATION/ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION
With the PCIS GOLD software, appointment scheduling establishes patient demographics and the associated visit record, which becomes the basis for registration. When the patient arrives, registration electronically confirms eligibility, the appointment type, insurance coverage, HIPAA compliance, and signature-on-file forms. It also verifies and collects any co-pay amount and demographic information about the patient. -
ELECTRONIC IMAGES AND SCANNED DOCUMENTS
Our electronic document technology allows users to quickly view patient information via a computer screen as well as scan and import documents and images into the system for easy retrieval. -
TRANSACTION PROCESSING (CHARGE ENTRY)
Versatility is one of the many fundamental features that distinguishes PCIS GOLD from competitors. Thus, we’ve given our clients the option of using a point-of-care visit form or a traditional batch-process method to expedite the process of posting fee-ticket transactions. -
COMPUTERIZED PHYSICIAN ORDER ENTRY (CPOE)
The PCIS GOLD system virtually eliminates the need for paper forms as physicians can create lab, radiology, and other ancillary orders during the patient and physician encounter. These orders can then be electronically sent and returned to and from lab and radiology departments via our system. -
STATEMENT PROCESSING
With our statement processing capabilities, users can access electronic statements with a single click to answer a patient’s billing questions. -
PATIENT RECALL AND COMPLIANCE
Comprehensive patient recall is crucial to quality care and patient safety. Thus, PCIS assists clients with such recalls by informing the patient of recall appointments and notifying the caregiver when the patient fails to comply. -
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE ANALYSIS AND MANAGEMENT
At PCIS, we understand the importance of effectively managing Accounts Receivable, so we’ve included tools to provide tracking, electronic links, and real-time account updates. Features such as automated collection worklists, online notes, automatic response codes, user-defined dunning message routines, and custom collection letters decrease the overhead typically associated with managing A/R. Furthermore, the system enables users to view history via account, patient, payor type, or visit record. -
ELECTRONIC CLAIM SUBMISSION AND REMITTANCE
Our software streamlines third-party payor processing with exceptional claim submission and remittance capabilities. Using the patient-visit record, claim information is extracted, edited, and prepared for transmission to the clients' claims clearinghouse. Claim activity is recorded by line item within a visit. This, along with a virtually unlimited number of reimbursement schedules, gives users the ability to proactively manage third-party reimbursement at the payor and plan levels. -
ELECTRONIC COLLECTIONS MANAGEMENT
The Electronic Collections Management application provides valuable tools to optimize A/R. These tools allow clinicians to perform simple searches for delinquent accounts and to transmit and receive information with collection agencies, when appropriate. Additionally, full productivity reporting is tracked within the collections application. -
INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS
The PCIS GOLD navigator dashboard application provides clinic employees and staff the ability to communicate electronically thru instant messaging, tasking, and assignment tracking. -
PATIENT COMMUNICATIONS
Our system also allows physicians to communicate instantly with their patients via e-mail, telephone reminders, text messaging, and other mobile functions. -
DECISION SUPPORT (REPORTING)
Medical group practices require the need to continuously monitor economic indicators to make operational decisions. Decisions that impact administrative, financial, and clinical operations need to be made from data that has been transformed into empowering information. The Decision Support capabilities enable management to respond to such strategic and operational needs with succinct, timely information. This includes standardized reports that can be sorted by facility, provider, and date as well as a powerful ad hoc reporting tool that extracts any data that has been entered into the system for customized reporting.
